Volunteering for the Farm

Deer Hollow Farm has a wide range of activities available for volunteers. No experience is necessary, training is provided!

Volunteer roles:

  • Docents: Teach schoolchildren about farm animals and gardening, the wilderness, and Native American habitat and customs.
  • Weekend Docents: Educate visitors about the farm’s animals and programs.
  • Garden and Orchard Volunteers: Plant and maintain the teaching garden and orchard.
  • Livestock Volunteers: Feed, clean and care for livestock.
  • Maintenance Volunteers: Work with farm staff on maintenance projects.
  • Summer Camp Interns: Interns assists counselors in leading activities for youth 5 – 14 years old at the farm and in the wilderness. Interns must be 14 years old and above.
  • Fundraising events such as Farm Tours, Ohlone Day and Spooky Holloween.
